My name is Penny and I am the owner of Beauty in Residence with 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. I trained at Joyce Blok Beauty Therapy School where I had a great year and graduated with the highly recognised international qualifications CIDESCO and CIBTAC and ITEC.
I am also a member of the NZ Association of Registered Therapists whose role it is to ensure that you are in the expert hands of a trained skincare professional, who also maintains high standards of health and hygiene in the clinic environment.
SOTHYS' highly acclaimed skin care range is used in all facial treatments which delivers great results. It is formulated with stabilised vitamins, proteins, natural plant and marine extracts. As a SOTHYS specialist I am able to give you personalised advice to help you with your skin care concerns and recommend SOTHYS homecare products to compliment the treatments.
Pharo sugar wax is used in all waxing from Legs to Brazilians. This is applied like a traditional wax but it is water-based. The gel contains Manuka Honey that is renowned for its antibacterial properties to heal and protect the skin. The skin post waxing is smoother, cleaner and far less irritated and customers also say that ingrown hair problems diminish over time.
Electrolysis, which still plays an integral part in permanent hair removal is also available at Beauty in Residence. This is great for small localised areas such as lip and chin and can treat light blondeand white hairs that can’t be treated with IPL.

Recently I have made to new additions to the products available at Beauty in Residence. Firstly Cuccio Butter Blend Moisturisers and Scrubs. Secondly Scentered aromatherapy blends, which help you to stay centred, no matter where you are or what life throws at you.
Other product lines are Jojoba Oil by the ‘Australian Jojoba Company’ and Orly minis’ Nail polish.
